The '74 Maico swingarm is fabricated from 6061 aircraft
aluminum. To eliminate stress, all components are brought to a fully annealed "T0" condition prior to forming. Once formed and welded, the swingarms are fixtured and heat treated to the "T6" condition for maximum strength. The swingarms are then bright dipped and/or anodized per customers request.
Requests for custom configurations modifying such item as
shock location and swingarm length can usually be accomodated. Improvements such as incorporating a readily available chain guard and needle bearings have been made for ease of ownership and improved performace.
